In between working on the VR product demos at Cisco, i have been tasked to create 3d assets from photo references provided of several different hardware that cisco makes. I have added a few of the ones i've worked on. Due to the COVID-19, i did not have the physical hardware in front of me, so i would receive reference images instead.
The process is bringing in the reference images into Maya, modeling the general shapes to match the silhouette, model the smaller details, and then rely on the reference images for complex details like the motherboards / chips as textures.
